Why I Love Sarah: Reason #23

Hey! I love Greyfriar's. It was actually started by two Covenant grads, one of whom was in a drawing class I took my Freshman year, so I always had a sort of clan-loyalty feeling about it, along with the fact that their coffee completely stands on it's own. In fact it's due to Greyfriars that I have become somewhat of a coffee snob. It was there that I discovered that I could taste the difference between Indonesian and African coffees, for instance, and which I liked the best...

I can't tell you how glad I am to hear that you (1) like Greyfriar's (forgot that it was started by two Covenant grads!) and (2) consider yourself a coffee snob. I think you and I will get along just fine...

  2. ah, very sweet.

sadly, it is now under different ownership, but still a pretty good place. St. Elmo's Pasha has now taken the mantle of best locally-owned coffee snob hangout.

on another subject, what do you know about the Granite State Whale Watch boat? looks pretty cool, but not sure if we'll have time amid the festivities. maybe Saturday morning?

  3. @BobW: not sure about the whale watch boat. There are a couple of cruises that leave from Portsmouth--some go to the islands just off the coast, others just kind of tool around out there for a bit. Sarah and I went with her sister on one of the tool around tours--lasts about an hour and is a nice, social thing to do. No whales, though. Anyone else have any thoughts?
